Most people would probably agree that motivation is a very important factor in productivity. Most people would also agree that motivation is affected by a great many things. The following questions are designed to identify the effects of some of those things. While the questions may appear to be subjective, our interest is not in the level of motivation of individual ALJs, but rather in how the nature of the work and the level of support provided by the organization effects motivation overall. your particular attention to questions 44 and 45.

44. Everyone occasionally feels bothered by certain kinds of things in their work. Below is a list of things that might sometimes bother Administrative Law Judges. Please indicate how frequently you feel bothered by each of them.

N-734 (44-1) Thinking that the amount of work you have to do may interfere with how well it gets done.

N-738 (44-2) Feeling that you have too little authority to carry out the responsibilities assigned to you.

N-737 (44-3) Feeling that you can't get information needed to carry out your work.

N-736 (44-4) Thinking that there are too many reviews of your work by agency officials.
