This cutter was assigned to Wilmington January 1, 1923. It had had no previous assignments. It operates in the Norfolk Division area from the Delaware-Maryland to the North Carolina-South Carolina boundary line, and elsewhere as directed by the Commandant. Reports are sent to the Division Commander at Norfolk, Va., who forwards them through New York to Washington. All records are preserved until authority is received to destroy them. Space in the Custom House is allotted to the "Modoc" for storage of records and equipment. When the survey was made, this space was in use by the post office, and records and equipment of the "Modoc" were temporarily stored in the Maffitt Building. The following entries are arranged chronologically.
