The Social Security Bulletin is the official monthly publication of the Social Security Administration. Statements in Bulletin articles do not necessarily reflect official policies of the Social Security Administration.

The Bulletin is prepared in the Office of Research, Statistics, and International Policy, Office of Policy, Social Security Administration, under the general supervision of Marilyn Thomas, Director of the Publications Staff, and the editorial supervision of Robert E. Marsh, Managing Editor. Art is prepared under the direction of Emil Loomis. Suggestions or comments concerning the Bulletin should be addressed to the Office of Research, Statistics, and International Policy.

The Social Security Bulletin is for sale by the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402. A copy of the Annual Statistical Supplement to the Bulletin is included in the annual subscription price of the Bulletin.

Price: $23.00 a year in the United States and $28.75 in all other countries; single copies, $2.50 domestic and $3.13 foreign. Price of the 1984-85 Supplement is $6.50 domestic and $8.13 foreign.

Use of funds for printing this publication has been approved by the Office of Management and Budget through June 30, 1988.
